14 - Desucon -

So here, have this long and image heavy entry of awesome weekend I had at Desucon, Lahti. So as I said before since we couldn't get our Sengoku Basara cosplays done with Linde we needed to change our plans. We left to Pauli's place around 2:30 pm and we were still making our costumes around 11 am. And we both basically made those whole night. It was close but no can do. We are going to do them later and make them the best costumes you have never seen. OK probably not but anyway.

We jumped to our joy-van as we call Ville's van around 3 pm and started to drive towards to Lahti ! It had been a while since we saw each other last time so we had lots to talk about and one hour passed really fast. We picked up Reettis from Lahti's train station and went to our hotel. We had two hotel rooms since our group was quite big.

We dressed up to our costumes and headed to Sibeliustalo around 5 pm. We basically just hung around and  had photo shoot. I can't remember when last time I have had this fun while photo shooting. Finally we had characters who could derp around and we did got some nice photos too.

Also sunset was amazing ! It finally feels like summer has started.

Others left quite early but we (me, Linde and Visti) stayed and wait Reettis who went to see couple panels or something. We walked from Sibeliustalo to our hotel, we where there around 11 pm. Then we just took costumes off, watched TV, talked and ate. Went to sleep around 2 am.

On Saturday we woke up 7:30 am and dressed up to our costumes. We were wearing hakama versions of Yukimura and Masamune which we originally planned of wearing on Sunday. I had first small problems with my contact lenses since my left eye didn't want to cooperate with me and then I had small problems with my hakamas. I was pretty much afraid of whole day that those will fall off and everyone would see my boxers. It have happened to me once couple years ago at Desucon btw. Yet again we just hang around. This time we hang with Jami and Andy who were cosplaying Dean and Castiel from Supernatural. Linde got really bad nosebleed couple times so there were blood everywhere. Too bad that I didn't get good picture of all that blood.

I went to see Eurocosplay preliminary contest and Hall cosplay contest with Reettis and Ines. Yet again there were absolute gorgeous costumes and wonderful shows. Maybe one day I will be good enough to take part too. We decided not to go to photo shoot our cosplays since Linde was not feeling too well after losing that much blood.

I bought something too! I buy at least one figure from every bigger con! This time it was Panty from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt! Thanks god mom gave me money, thought it wasn't even that expensive. 27€ of figure isn't bad at all!

Others left again sooner than us, we left to our hotel room around 9 pm to take costumes off. We just lied there and watched Mean Girls. Reettis came with Ines later and Ines changed her Other-girl-sempai costume back to normal clothes and ran to train. We had really weird topics that night. First we talked about  drool and drooling and then when the Walking Dead started we changed our topic to how we would survive in zombie apocalypse and what we could use as weapons. We went to sleep around 2 am again.

On Sunday it was bit harder to get up at 7:30 am. We choose to wear Gakuen Basara cosplays on Sunday too. We packed our stuff and left to Sibeliustalo around 9 am. We had small photo shoot since we got this master plan of eating our cup noodles there. Not much to publish.

After eating we went to watch our friends' Cosplay Photo shoot panel and just derp around. Final hour before leaving was pretty much full of awful and lame jokes and really really bad derping. We left to drive towards to Vihti around 5pm.

Time went really fast and aa can I just go back ? Next con for me will be Tracon and I can't wait over 2 months ! Well of course we plan to go to photo shoot during summer but still. Damn you Kuopio and money issues for cockblocking Animecon from me.

So much happened last week. I mean. I probably got job and I got apartment from Vantaa. So I'll move out once again (and this time I will not move back home...hopefully) on first of July. I have used to be living in this small 12m² room so I guess it will be really weird to live in 52 m² apartment all by myself. Not sure how long I'm going to live in there since we are still looking for apartment with Noomi.

Can't exactly remember what I have done at the beginning of the week. Probably done school stuff and playing Tera. lol bad memory is bad.

Last weekend was Kirsikkakukkacon or shortly Kikucon. After all money and hotel drama (which exactly wasn't even drama) Papu and Anette came to pick me up from Vihti and we continued our marvelous trip to Turku. We met others there and then we just...hang around in our retard-ring until we wanted to sit down = we went to sit to Papu's and Taika's cars. Lame con is lame, we just mostly sat there and talked nonsense, until people got hungry. After eating we hang around a bit more until we decided to go to local cathedral to have small photo shoots. It was interesting indeed since pretty much everyone was cosplaying from different series. Also there were Japanese tourists taking "secretly" pictures of us. Also there were wedding ceremony going, but they left before we went to take pictures inside of cathedral (where were some kind of church ceremony idk going on at the same time lol oops).

After photo shoot we again hang around and waited to closing ceremony to start, since our friends' dance group WE!Dance had show there. Waiting was quite painful since everyone pretty much just wanted to go to their hotels/home. And when finally our long waiting and only reason we still where in that lame little con has to come...*dramatic drum solo* our friends' dance show was ruined. They have had problems with their audio since Kikucon's workers lost audio Ada gave to them couple weeks earlier so their audio cut out 3 times = everyone messed up the rhythm. They all were so disappointed and Kikucon's organizer's useless explaining and blaming others didn't really help either. Well thankfully they got other change on Sunday then! 

After raging with WE!Dance group's members me and Papu left and started our trip back to Vihti.

After all Kikucon was mostly lame and boring and I'm sure I would regret going there if I wouldn't have had so awesome company with me. Thanks guys you really made my day, derp. To end of this entry I'll just upload these two pictures I have already submitted to DA. I'll make later this week another update of Yukimura's spears I'm currently making !

So I spent my weekend at Tampere with awesome people. We left straight from school on Friday and were around 6 pm there, went to buy food and right after that went to Linde's place. We mostly watched TV and told really horrible jokes and I hope that Linde's roommates doesn't hate us now... or maybe they like poop and bloody-vagina jokes too. Krhm.

Basically our everyday school life: sleeping and tumblr in middle of lesson. Liina.

On Saturday we woke up around 10 am and started to get ready to leave to Tampere Kuplii. I cosplayed Howl from Howl's moving castle if someone did not know. We went to check Cosplay Competition where surprisingly were my friends taking part too. Lapirin and Lirlys cosplayed Prince and Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time, and I had to say they were both gorgeous and in my opinion they really deserve their place in second ground. Sadly I couldn't get any good photos from competition since I don't have zoom object yet.

They were showing trailers to us while jury was deciding the finalists, but they apparently had some technical problems so first trailer was completely pink lol.

We were there only couple of hours: After cosplay competition we went to check shopping place and then just sat there and talked about our future cosplay plans. Last year at Tampere Kuplii I bought my first Sanada Yukimura figure and well when I saw that they were selling those Sengoku Basara coin surprise boxes this year I just had to buy one even though price was ridiculously expensive. And tattadaa I got: SANADA YUKIMURA ! This must be fate seriously now !

After that was of course time to try to photo shoot my Howl cosplay. Well... We were mostly derping so here have some derpy photos:

We were there about 2-3 hours and then left back to Linde's place to change clothes before leaving to movies. We went to see the Avengers finally and well everyone who follows me on tumblr has probably noticed how madly I'm in love with Loki now. Movie was good imo !


Sunday we left around 4 pm and I after 2 hours' train trip back to Helsinki and one hour bus trip to Nummela I was finally home around 7 pm. Now I have inspiration to continue with my cosplays. Only two weeks to Kikucon andone  month left to Desucon
